What an array of icons for different things to use for this page, and me knowing very little about creating a web page although always having a wish to try it!  Ah well, here goes!!

 When I was in the Air Force in 1954 I spent a lot of time in the Middle East with the sort of job that took me all over the Continent of Africa, as it was then.  I was also able to travel to the Far East and this period gave me the love of travel that I have followed so far in my life.  I always promised my wife that I would take her to see Egypt, the country where this all started, and recently we managed to get there on one of these package holiday deals.
