First of all a little about myself. I am 74 years young and I live in the country about 12 miles from the center of Glasgow with my wife, 2 donkeys and a cairn terrier dog with one eye. My hobbies are bird watching, walking, classical music, reading and wildlife. The latter is the reason for some wonderful holidays.

Why 'Not Dead Yet'

First of all the inspiration for the name of the site came from a recent holiday where we camped. On reflection I decided that this was not usual for someone at my stage of life! I started the site because I thought it would be a fun thing to do.It seemed to me that there was a need for a site just for mature people to communicate with each other through forums, chat-rooms and personal pages because nobody else seemed to be doing it and it is evolving in a fascinating way.
