I think the PC is a lifeline to so many, and I for one would be lost without it.Lets face it if you dont like `soaps` then the tele is out isnt it ? its ages since there was a good drama on,its all cops and robbers
and fly on the wall etc.(big brother)
Well heres hoping for a better autumn on the box lol

How true, Mac. German TV is also very boring at the moment. Just a lot of repetition of old programmes - pickled cucumber time we call it in Germany!

Television ?? What Crap!! the more stations there are -- the more Repeats we receive!! -- But in saying that?? I still love to Watch all the good Old Style Films and Series.--- Being 'selective' makes for hard work to find an Enjoyable programme ?? --- At least next week, we shall have lots of Peace -- No more persistant barking, Bless Her!! Shame there was No Training while she was young. At 11 years old, she is 'set' in her way's -- One more day and we agreed that we should let her have her day?? If she wants to Bark --- She Can!!

Mac, you are already very good on the computer, so what do you want to learn from your new neighbour?

Hi Mac, There are many Photo programmes, on the web. The most popular is 'PICASA' Which ever you prefer, just 'play' around as I did and it is suprising how you will find your way and Improve --- from Passport size to full A4 pics; -- it will be much Cheaper if you use plain paper first, before going on to Gloss.
Take things slowly, health comes first!!

`morning Mac`....we used to have a worksop of two very
good computer experts....next door to our flats...they
did old computers up to send abroad.....so i just went
round there and explained to them the problem ....then
one of them would come round ... either to fix it...or
take it then fix it....they had dozens of computers in
their workshop...some on display...in their window too
whole computers from £60 upwards...i thought i would would like a spare one..then all of a sudden a van came
and loaded all the computers in a big van....and left !
with no forewarding address............... brrrrrr !

That's rather unpleasant, but computer shops come and go (at least in Germany). Fortunately my son-in-law is very good on computers, so when I have a problem I can contact him.

Sorry Mac, its been so hot, I came back yesterday from walking the dogs and my head was thumping, I stood under the ceiling fan, drank gallons of water, I've never felt so awful. I'm sure we've never ever had it that hot and humid before, all the dog walkers this morning were talking about it, many never took them on the second one, in hindsight, I shouldn't have either. We've got a bit of a breeze today so I won't be crashing out...I hope.

Mac, Val is right, in Germany it's also hot, hot, hot. As my computer is in my office in the attic and it's so hot up there I only spend little time in this place. It's like a sauna "free of charge"!
