«
on:

same old trenches, same old view
same old rats as blooming tame
same old dugouts, nothing new
same old smell the very same
same old bodies out in front
same old "strafe" from two till four
same old scratching, same old 'unt
same old bloody war

For those who Died --- Would 'They' Agree with you ??
I personally, Think Not!! -- Even criminals are Treated Better than Ex- Service Personnel and Those 'survivors' now living on a pittance, penelised, for their part they played -- Would most certainly Not Agree!! ----
At Least the 1960s. was more Stable than Now!!
IN THIS COUNTRY!!

Phoenix, if the world - or at least the conditions of living in Europe - didn't get better, why did they die? Since I'm retired I'm dealing a lot with history and I think in Europe we never had such a long period of peace and such a great number of people that are keen on living in peace together.

No and why - because men say what has to be done and their honour and pride is the most important thing in the world!

Phoenix, that's only partly true. The mentality of people in the Middle East is quite different from ours. When I was still working we sold our goods also to Arabs. Their way of thinking is different and pride and honour are very important for them. Look at our Turks here in Germany, often young girls are murdered by their brothers, because they fell in love with a German or with a Turk that seems to be unsuitable for the family. In the family the boys who murder their sisters are heros, for us they are murderers.

True, Mac, it's crazy. But they are considered to save the honour of the family and the name of the family. As I said, it's just a different mentality. Moreover, you shouldn't forget all those Turkish girls that are sent back to Turkey to be married at an early age. We have so-called "women houses" where women which are abused or badly treated by their husbands find shelter. There are to be found more and more Turkish girls fleeing from their parents and families, because they want to marry them with a husband in Turkey they never have seen before.
As you see, there's still a long way to integration!

So do we need all their problems in Eu Teri,we have enough of our own.We have only recently got equality,do you think they would understand that anyway ?
The Eu should not let them in untill they have it we are a modern world here if they want it they comply.
