Hi there, joined NotDeadYet about ten minutes ago and am keen to look around and get to know people in my age group and older (I am 55). This looks like a nice website so I am hoping there are plenty of chatty and interesting folks, with a sense of humour and sparkling teeth!!!

I am a 55 year old male (I think!), who is always battling with a chubby frame (my own!), definitely needing more exercise and a healthier lifestyle...

that's it for now... very much in 'membership testing mode' until I find my way around on here. I really like the idea of being able to chat live - one of the things that attracted me to this site.

Tara for now

Hi Mac

You are right, it's very quiet here. Everytime I have logged on it's just little ol' me here on my own!! Pity, but I'll keep poking my nose in through the door and, who knows, one day I might actually get to chat with someone!

For anyone needing to know in-depth stuff about The Midlands, Brum in particuler, I hope to add stuff to my web pages. Having said that - if no one ever comes here I might not bother!! (We Brummies can be blunt at times!)

So, there you go.
The internet.... can be the loneliest place in the world (albeit a virtual one)

Actually Midlander, this is a nice site but we dont seem to have many people who know about it or like yourself they come in for a chat and there is nobody there ! and sometimes they are there but dont chat ?
We have done numerous threads over the time and they too seem to fade away for some reason ?
I go on Baby boomer bistro to chat in the evenings there is usually someone there. Its part of age concern.
There is usually two people in here for chat in the evenings one is Dalerite and the other is Ansu she lives in Germany, but she is on holiday this week ! and sometimes I come in too.!
It takes time to find a site you like but when you have got to know people its a doddle !

Hi Midlander,
welcome to NDY. As Mac already told you, I'm usually in the chatroom in the evening - so maybe, one "evening" we will meet.
