Phoenix, that's true - it will take me days to do the weeding! I tried to take a photo of the Capadocian birds for you, but they were much quicker than me and there are only bushes on the photos. However, it was wonderful to listen to their songs!

When I flew in a balloon over the landscape of Capadocia I had to get up very early and the "morning song" of the birds was fantastic. As I'm more a night owl than an early bird, I don't have too often the opportunity to be welcome in the morning by birds welcoming the new day. Fortunately I have a blackbird in my garden which "sings" also in the evening.

The morning song as you call it Teri, is known here as the dawn chorus. Unfotunately my dawn chorus is spoiled by the darned pigeons coo cooing, I could shoot em.

Pigeons can only be found in our city center and they are sometimes a plague.

Unlike most other birds, pigeons can breed all year round.
We have a few of their natural predators, the Kestre here, there is not enough to keep their numbers down.

Cockerals?? Crowing??? Wow!! Don't seem all that long ago?
I choose to think, that The 'Dawn Chorus' is a way of saying ----"Good Morning People"
Whatever they are, They are alway's Welcome!!
