Our garden still has some colour, am happy to say.
Birds?? Just had a Flock of 21 wood pidgeons feeding on some nice new, Brown grained Bread (apart from other birds) It was so good to see them 'Tucking In' and I shall have to get more bread tomorrow. -- Better than watching TV for Entertainment!!

Hello Mac, Yes, the Birds certainly are 'worth watching'-- Just where would we be without them ?? (Birds and Animals)
Like a lot of 'morons' I think -- with 'Smiles and Laughter' getting less and less?? -------
We still watch all the wildlife programmes on TV --- Untill we find we are watching, Our Own Wildlife, in Our Garden. Most of all, we keep a watch, on our 'Lady Blackbird' with a Bad Foot. She has been coming here for some years now -'Bless Her' Ah! Well! Shops tomorrow for some fatballs and seed and more brown bread. They are worth every single £1 we spend, for the enjoyment we receive. Bless them again!!

Deicing the bird bath's and putting our lots of Food etc:
I just 'loved' it?  (shivering) --- I did Toooooo!!
As soon as I got back in??? -- Just where did 'They' come from?? --  A bit of 'detective work this ??
I am sure their little beady eye's, keep a lookout for us oldies?? They sure have us --- Well Trained!! Just Gotta buy more brown bread?? = One has To Pay??  For One's Enjoyment!! ---- Terrific and Well Worth every pound!!

Mac, Just sitting here and looking out the patio windows, it is quite hard to explain The Real Pleasure we get, watching all the Birds come down to Feed. -- Our 'expenditure' has now gone UP!! Buying more brown bread, fatballs and seed and mealie worms etc:
So much better than having a night out -- Cheaper too!!
The hard bit?? Forgetting to Empty The Bird baths at night, to save De-Icing in the morning??  Senior Moment ??
Love it the way, as soon as I get indoors, Down They Come, so naturally, the food does not last long --- and Back out i Go!! --- But, we do enjoy The Great pleasure:

What a nice hobby - have you ever tried to take photos of the birds? Must be very calming to watch the birds outside.

Teri, It must be the next best hobby to going out, and Watching the birds. Have taken a few Photo's; but they are too timid to get close. It really is soooo Peaceful.

Mac, Guess we are lucky, with regard to Cats, no real problems. When we had two cats, they just used to watch with us. ----- Thankfully!! We would feel 'mortified' if we saw a cat around the Birds, stalking. Happy it does not happen??

In my garden there are sparrows, blackbirds, tits and robins at present. However, I can't send you any sparrows - you are living too far away.

Only the Robin gives us a song, mostly in the mornings and it's a joy to listen.

At this time of the year, that's interesting. Where I lived before only the sparrows were quarrelling the whole year long even in the morning.
