We are only told, that for which this government requires us to know. Should there be a 'referendum' It will be 'changed' to suit those in power. that is my belief:

Hi Mac,Am glad that a Photo:was published. What a shame, The media does not back The senior citizens in their endeavor, to receive a 'decent' pension -- To that which 'WE' are Entitled too, for an acceptable standard of Living!! ---------- BRITAIN IS STIRRING
Britain wants a good 'shake up' -- Hurray for 'Martin Lewis' For further exposing the corruptness of some Businesses, in 'selling' P.P.Is.

Why can't business people be Honest and Fair to their Customer's

I have a silly question - many many years ago I saw a report on TV on pensions, among other also in the UK. Is it true that you get a only a so-called "basic amount" or is it as in my country that the amount is depending on the wages you earned and years you worked?

Hello Teri, Our 'Pension' is The Lowest in Europe!!
The Basic is £87 plus?? -- and any private pension on top??
We do not have any Book, as now it is just a Plastic Card.
Once over 75. we do get free TV and £200 per Home,Heating money. -- Free Bus Travel, All Over from Next April!!
If one is in rented property, there are many Benifits.
If one 'owns' their Home!! Forget It !!No Help. which one can expect,as we receive nothing:-- At 78. which I am next year. One can get a Free Passport?? -- At 80. One can receive an Extra ---- 25p. in their Pension!!
Not a Lot To Be Proud Of!! Mrs.Thatcher Removed, Income related Pensions in 1979!! That was Very Nice of her??

Teri
it isnt a fair system her for pensioners, its not everyone who gets their pensions topped up.
But it should be,if my neighbour in a rented house gets free insulation then all pensioners should.
If my neighbour gets free gas heating put in then all pensioners should.
I dont know if you get my gist Teri
if you live in a rented house you are fine you will get the benefits
if you own your house and was careful with your money you wont................but we are all pensioners.
motto is
spend spend spend while you are young !and be kept when you are old.

Hello Mac, It makes one feel ashamed, to admit that The System developed here, is so outdated and unfair, that it 'beggers belief'-- If one owns their own Home (like us)
then we are responcible for it's maintenace, Naturally!!
Rented Property!! = No Internal maintenace by occupier.--
Many rented homes in this past year, have had - New Bathrooms - New Kitchens and New Heating Systems Installed FREE!! -- If the 'occupiers' are pensioners who Do Not Pay
Rent, or Council Tax!! and Receives other benifits!! Their Income equats to quite a bit More, than those who Own their Properties!! -- Is that Justifiable?? -- Oh yes, Free Insulation as well. WE cannot Afford that Luxury!!
Ah! Yes! New Guttering and Facia Boards, Free Too!!
Our's this last year, Cost US, Over £2000!! There is No Justice or Fairness. But there are those That Abuse this system.-- Should one be too Old, to look after oneself and Go into a Residential Home?? Their Property is sold to pay for their upkeep!! --- This may well be - Unbelievable, but it is quite TRUE!!
