Margaret Dickinson lives in Skegness..not sure if any of you have read her books but I can highly recomend them.

I didnt think they would be my type of book because the are classed has romantic novels... But once I had read one I was hooked... most of the books are set in Lincolnshire and look back at historical events over the last hundred years through the eyes of lincolnshire people... I First read the Plough the field - sow the seed - reap the the harvest Trilogy...which is set in a rural community just outside of Skegness, the story covers the 2nd world war through to the dissastroues floods of 1953. Many of the places and buildings she uses are based on places that exist today...The farm house where the family lived is based on the farm house in the Church Farm Museum, Skegness. The Windmill in the Millers Duaghter can be seen in Burgh Le Marsh 5 miles from Skegness..

Wish Me Luck ..is about Robbie Rodwell a wireless opperator on a world war two bomber based on a lincolnshire airfield. Fleur Bosley is a radio Telephone opperator stationed at the same airfield.

This is the story of Love Laughter, tears and courage in a time of war
