Mac, have you also got a newspaper clip of your birthday?
When you were born times must have been a bit better.

Times were happier but we didnt have the things we have now like inside toilets, adn living near the docks there was a lot of bombed out houses around,we made good use of these as kids do.But everyone was quite poor and life was hard for a lot of people, but I dont think they moaned as much as we do.

Seems I have had an idle childhood, I was only asked to prepare the veggies and fruits for being conserved during my summer holidays. When I was older I worked in a factory during the holidays to earn some money for a bike or dancing lessons, for instance.

Hello William, Just think of those 'enjoyable times' when it was raining hard and we tried to keep the papers from getting Wet?? - Then coming home and being cleaned up. ready for school
-- Gotta be some 'fun' there somewhere
Yer did get yer wafer and cornet though, as a reward, for 'services' rendered
