The British government is distributing fliers warning Christmastime revelers of potential dangers, including falls taken by "tipsy" grandmothers.
The leaflet, titled "'Tis the Season to Be Careful," was authored by government ministers and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, The Times of London reported Monday.
Minister for Children Delyth Morgan said the advice offered by the flier, which includes warnings about "tipsy" grannies "toppling down the stairs" or "crashing to the floor when they miss their seat at the dinner table," is aimed at keeping the holiday season full of cheer and free of tears.
"The festive period is for families to enjoy each others' company, gifts and food, so the last thing you want is a trip to the hospital as a result of an accident which, with a little thought, can be avoided," Morgan said.
The flier, which also includes warnings for parents about the potential dangers of candles and toys with small parts, is being distributed at shopping centers during the final days leading up to Christmas.
Makes you wonder what their own grandmothers get up to. lol...
