How would You, go about raising The Standard of this Country, to be able to call it 'Great Britain' again ??
What would Your priorities be ??

Clamp down on immigration ...no qualifications to sustain uk, NO entry.
Come out of the EEC an get self sufficient like we once was!
Get all these srounges on benifits, off tax payers backs.
Deducted dole money every month an issue food coupons in stead, make some go out an find work like we all had to do.

Eee! by gad Lass?? - You are a little 'Gem'!!
Does my 'Body and Soul' good to see an opinion given, that so many othere's would not 'voice'-- Yet so many would agree!! --"IF ONLY" is my poem that I had published. I will have to include, when I can. As I always state, Why Hide The Truth??

Hi Joe, I Totally disagree, that You are on Your 'soapbox'-- What You state, is in actual fact, The Truth!!
One must bear in mind, 'The Way' We were brought up??
Honest, Respectful and Disiplined --To be 'Responcible'in Family Life and to 'Purchase' a Home!!--- But!! As the decades go by, The Standards that knew, have since been 'Destroyed'--- The outcome now being, that the less one does, the more one will receive 'assistance' -- I.E.
If one's income is only just, 'over the Limit'?? No help/assistance is available!!-- For those just 'under the limit' --free rent and Free Council Tax!!
Question!! Was Our upbringing -- Wrong ??

Question was our up bringing wrong ?
No Phoenix it wasnt we did it just right, with our private pensions and own homes, then the powers that be thought "I want some of that",easy picking for them too, we are too old to breed and get tax credits, and a few quid too much to get the benefits.
I have to say though that the social system that came in ,
in 1948 was a wonderful thing and still is,it is just abused.I would definately not like to be without it,but it needs a very big overhaul !

Great Stuff?? I was sure that I would receive your total support and that many of us 'Golden oldies' Share!!
As with so many 'New ideas' they are great when introduced, but over the course of time-- Get Abused:
Hurray for The N.H.S.-- It's Free Health!! Untill one is forced to go private -- when 'speed is essential!!

We, the bewrinkled elderly and hard of hearing, the frail, decrepit and poorly sighted, having endured affliction by sundry pestilences visited upon us along the tortuous pathways of life, have resolved ourselves to be worthy and most deserving of certain considerations and courtesies from the Society of our creation. Not in the manner of Condescension, Grudging Privilege, or poorly disguised Patronage under sufferance, but as: -
‘Absolute Rights of Entitlement in Perpetuity.’
Therefore, Be it Known to All Men by These Presents, The following Rights and Privileges are hereby bestowed upon all, who, by effort and determination, crowned the fruits of their labours in achieving the alleged Golden Age of Five and Sixty Years, and are now enjoined to fully exercise those entitlements hereunder defined, but not restricted to:-

I totally agree with you both. On watching BB it only show?s the level of knowledge (or lack of it) with our youngsters these days. They don't seem to know our countries history i.e. Is Ireland in England and is Wales
a separate foreign country?
One had never heard of Shake spear? Half of them didn't know
how to make a bed? Let alone cook! What an earth is this country coming to? I find it hard to understand a full conversation from some youngsters as the whites talk like the blacks, all our music is mixed up with black music (am I aloud to say black? Horrendous crimes being done by mostly whites, drugs, knives, guns etc. [/tt] [/tt] [/tt]
hello Jo-ann
I agree about all of that, but there are some lovely young people too,and it is a shame they are all tarred with the same brush.I know from experience that they dont want to pay into pension funds, because we did and look where it got us !
I still say the system needs a very bid overhaul

Hello Joe, Do You really believe that I think the government, has got everything -- Right!! just because they have, Advisers and 'spin doctors'-- Hum! I fail to understand what has been Right in the last 10 years??-- Supporting wars in faroff countries, Our Hospitals, not only in Debt, but the dirtiest in europe. The Dome = complete waste of cash. Now liverpool has spent £10 million to build and open a Museum, to commemorate the 'Abolition of The Slave Trade' -- Opening on August 23rd.-- Should anyone wish to Visit??
How can All Those Politicians, Get So Much, So Wrong ??
