Tilly, as I read it, you can still re4tire if youb want, the law will be, your employer cant make you retire.
I couldnt wait to retire, but some people want to carry on working.

Interesting little item this.
Now I look at things from a different angle, yes I am all for everyone having the choice of working on after they atain 65 if they want to.
But what is the Governments larger plan, what arnt they telling you?? What is the big rush to get this law passed in Parliment??
Have they all of a sudden woken up to the fact that those that were born in the years 1946 -50 are all coming up for retirement and still alive?? Have they all of a sudden realised that these babies had a tough bringing up and have survived everything that the Government threw at them and their parents?
These babies have worked and struggled all their lives to get where they have in life, not relying on state handouts, they fought for everything they have today ........yet they still want them to work on after retirement age??? Why??
In my mind its all about two things, one being money, if you carry on working your still going to be on the tax register therefore feeding the Government coffers!
Two being that because you worked hard your fitter and therefore should be able to retire and relax!!! Hello relax, not a snowballs chance in Hell, the hardest work force ever known in this Country just cant be allowed to retire, who will take over??? They want you to work untill you fall into the grave, they have changed "your right to retire", to "its your democratic right to work."
Retire and relax, they (The Government) are the ones whom have dragged this country down to being Bankrupt, they just want to bleed the last penny out of you to feed those that are and have done nothing for this Country. Look around yourselves when you go shopping, they support single parents, druggies, they gave them the freedom with your hard earnt monies, time for them to realise there is no such thing as a free lunch, we learned that lesson many years ago!

What i heard on the news last night was it will be good for the econemy , in moving the retirement age further away , or allowing those to stay on that want to is a step back in my opinoin.
I think its another way of not paying out your pension , hoping you will die a working person. saves them money .
If a person as paid in for the last 40 odd years then its time to get some back ,and enjoy life .

It was reported a few years ago that by 2015 the number of pensioners would be virtually unsustainable.
These people have paid for their pensions what has happened to their money,it is theirs and they should get it back.
If the Govt got rid f the parasites that have floded the country, we might just be able to put the Great back into Great Britain.

The two most important points, have already been mentioned. Keep the people working untill they Die. Then there is No Payout of a pension, plus, all the pension money paid into the government, works out as Profit. what a Brilliant Government Scheme !!
