well we shall all be paying a little extra , seeing as VAT as gone up to 20% this is from next Janurary.
Gas and Electric , Phone all carry VAT , so that will up the bills we pay for the basic things in life .
Heres a link to the key points of the budget

It does not seem a lot initially, but as everything with have the extra % it sure will mount up every week. Guess the details will be in Wednesdays papers.

I hate it when shops price things without vat then add it at the end, I'd rather know at the beginning how much its going to cost. I fear more cuts will be on the way, I hear childrens bus passes for school are going to be means tested amongst other things we'll just have to try and get by, the country is broke.

Ah!! Remember the old 'Purchase Tax' - A Inclucive price. No problems there. Vat tax is to let us know it's a Luxury Item. The emails state that this,Our Country, is broke.?? So just where does the money come from, for the councils to spend absolutely Millions of Pounds, to 'enhance' their Towns, for the benifit of the people. We now have Fountains in our city Centre and the children are playing under them. Lol! Lol!! = 13 million pounds. Lol! Lol!!

My guess voting labour in was our wrong doing so we've all got to pay but if it gets England back on its feet I think we'll all have to muck in as long as it is everyone and not just those struggling anyway.

Want to laugh
Comments in our local paper and on the news and dailies. Our City fountains are being used for children to play in ?? As though no idiot expected that
Still having problems with the coloured lights working at night. Oh! The complaints.

A strange irony that, kids playing in fountains while we have a drought on our hands.
Only a short while ago we were having snow storms and floods and now we have no water. Water charges continue to spiral and the leaks get bigger.
Something odd??? no just quirky ole England.

Quirky is putting it mild. At the cost of ?13 million, to put Fountains in our city centre (to attract people)?? The fountain Jets, come out of the concrete slabs so the centre area is awash with water and there sure has been a few faults.

I think weve probably seen the last of these schemes to spend mooney on "improvements" to our towns and cities now the councils are having to cut back costs.
