Followed it through and was delighted to find -- The one and only -- Bill Haley and "Rock around the clock" and I stop to think. Wow! Did we really "Rock" to that during the 50/60s. ?? You bet your life we did, that's how come we all became so Fit.

Never thought of it as keeping fit though, also used to walk everywhere, couldn't get the pram on the bus, no buggy's in those days but   it was just a normal part of life.

Not only 'Rocked around the clock' but sometimes, even 'worked around the clock' = young, healthy and really fit. Would love to go through those years again, for many reasons.

That record by Anthony Newley reminds me of the Phil Harris record called 'The Thing' which is also on YouTube and was released in 1950.

1950 surprised me because I thought it was much later that that. Fancy that! I was only four years old but I still remember it.

The first record I bought was 'Why' by Anthony Newley.  Now 'Strawberry Fayre', what a wonderfully clever and funny record that is.
