Apparently they are repairing it or were yesterday so I'm told. You need to get some VIP's in your valley, people with influence who use it. You don't see folk here for days but anything like that happening and they come from who knows where talking about important issues, I think they're important I struggle to understand so they must be and I often wonder who are these folk, I've never seen them before but apparently they are our neighbours. I still prefer the English expression, over and above the latin one.  Grin Grin

Yes its something we use a lot, its one of Franks sayings to the kids when things don't go to plan. It usually picks them up and strengthens their resolve. The English version I might add not the Latin expression.

The 'way of life' as it is today, can make one so angry, that if we use that expression, our inner tension, is somewhat relieved. Shocked Shocked

Spent this afternoon repairing and cleaning out the two nest boxes. Had to modify the cat deterrent on both but the spikes look ok. Roll Eyes Had to remove the electric fencing and the mortar bomb booby traps, Shocked

Both back up now and I have resited one. If they do as well as this year and I am spared to see it it will have been worth the effort.

Sadly the Blackbirds have done a runner from the Boston Ivy leaving behind four eggs. I think perhaps the dog got a bit too inquisitive.

We've got to clean ours out, still haven't done it yet. I saw a blackbird with nesting material so they are still busy building nests somewhere. I also saw on springwatch that blackbirds are known to nest every month of the year.  not the same ones of course. I need some of your cat deterrent here, we've got a moggy prowling our garden at night, well I think its a cat, the dogs are going crazy, what with all the windows open they can hear it, Frank came down to shut them up and they were both peering through the fence into next door

Well the hosepipe ban is now officially on. We still have a rainwater barrel full so no probs yet.
Trying out an Epsom Salts treatment for a bit on a rather sad looking Honeysuckle. I have used it for years on bare soil so we will see.
Just sown some wallflower seeds in a couple of trays, it seems the autumn is just around the corner.

Here it's still summer - more than 30 degrees C. All plants I planted lately have died of heat not of lack of water - I regularly watered them, but it was simply too hot for them to survive.
