I'm in Spain at present and UK pensions are payable (is that a word?) with increases in Euro countries and a few others that have an agreement with the UK pensions. Of course everyone should receive all the entitlements wherever they choose to settle, even the winter fuel allowance............it gets cold in sunny europe too. But the pounds falling rate has knocked off 30% of the exchange rate and some pensioners are finding it difficult to manage, as Spain is still in economical decline and they hav'nt yet put the brakes on............many houses are worth less than they where bought for and although this will correct itself in time, it dos'nt help them at the moment.

That is a very large amout to lose. I understand that many are now wanting to come back to england, but how can they afford too. It is said that some homes, have to be demolished, because they was not built with 'permission' therefore illegal. ??

Hello Hammer
we posted around the same time.
Is easy to understand the anti-Pumice feeling here, after all he is a left leaning Humanist who sources his facts, speaks clearly and to a point, is not afraid to stand for others---no wonder some here hate him, imagine a person having those qualities, he should be hanged now or sooner if possible---imagine the idea of tolerating a person who holds views differing then yours----Heil Adoph, you tolerant students of history. Well, at least a German was willing to come forward in the historic sense of the defence of Human Rights, something dear to her.----rick

As you quoted me Rick, I assume your post was directed to me. Good manners dictate that I should reply but unfortunately I have no idea what your point is

Rick I am sorry but I strongly feel your sort of comments are best suited to other sites, not this one, there is friendly banter and there is not so friendly and I personally feel you have crossed the line.
