yes but we shouldn't have to and when someone is rude its not up to us to play guessing games. Treat as you find, we shouldn't have to excuse that kind of behaviour its totally unacceptable otherwise he wouldn't have been banned from another site would he, I know you're trying to be nice Cath but why?, he's not.

No worries, Rie.
If you or Hammer, or anyone else, choose to indulge in that insulting personal stuff, that's fine - go for it - enjoy !
I'LL JUST GO ON BEING MY SWEET, PERSONABLE SELF and stick to discussing the issues.
I am slightly saddened that merely expressing a different point of view should generate such hostility but I am renowned for my patience and tolerance.
That is the point though you don't stick to discussing issues, most of the posts you either don't read properly or which is more likely, understand. I know we shouldn't laugh at folk that are a bit well a sandwich short of a picnic but in you case you are so rude about it, its funny, because you really don't have a clue and its sad too.If ever I find you're
sounding reasonable? I know its time to up my medication.
Why don't you ever makes any posts of your own? nothing constructive to say?

I was going to comment on "Retirement dream shattered" but this topic seems to have gone on to another matter entirely.

Agree with Rie, like most trolls he will soon get fed up of being ignored and depart.

Thank you Rie
If you have reached pension age and are entitled to a state pension, should you risk losing it if you decide to spend your retirement years in a warmer climate? If people retire to warmer countries where the cost of living may be cheaper, they are not taking anything from other services provided for the elderly in the UK even though, during their working life, they have paid into the system.

Don't quote me on this but I think you get it just not any increases after you've left the country but having said that I also think it depends what country you are going to. If this it what anyone is planning to do then find out officially first. I think the cits advice could point you in the right direction.

Seem to have seen this before in a website and 'think' that some do receive the increase, but as you state, possibly depends on which country, one is going to live. Most people want to live in warmer countries,-- So, less heating required = cheaper costs. Can't really expect to benifit on all counts. One's Own Choice.
Maegan, You post away, as you noted we get 'carried away' sometimes and post some 'mixed ones'-- Enjoy in what you do.

I was going to live in warmer climes once.
When I looked into it I would be paying tax here on my pension,so therefore I would expect to get the winter fuel allowance too,its not as cold there but its still cold because you get used to the hot summers.
Therefore I think if you pay tax to the UK you should get whats rightly yours.
