WHILE the rest of Britain continues to tighten its belt, the gravy train rolls on at the BBC. In two years, corporation bosses have blown ?74million of licence fee money on travel and hotels.

How can they justify spending ?100,000 a day in this way?

Baroness James, a former BBC governor, put her finger on the problem when she interviewed directorgeneral
Mark Thompson: ?An organisation that has 37 managers earning more than the Prime Minister surely ought to ask itself if that?s justified.? Thompson, on ?834,000 a year, had no real answer.

Baroness James may also be interested to know more about BBC employee Chris Kane who, as head
of workplace, tells staff about what is going on around the offices and studios.

Recently, he wittered of the canteen in Bristol: ?They have sandwiches and porridge with a choice of toppings.? Who cares? We should when you discover this twit is on ?245,000.

The BBC has become too big for its own good and the writing must surely be on the wall for Mr Thompson and his state-funded fat cats.

They would not stand up to a great deal of scrutiny.
I have long thought they should scrap the licence fee and fund themselves, I guess a lot of wood clearing would happen at once.

Why should we still continue to fund their lifestyle?
I can turn off the BBC at any time but it seems I have to carry on paying for it forever.

'They' know just how to get more money from the customers, so quite obviously 'they' are going to enjoy their 'lifestyle' at other people's expense. Huh
The BBC, takes the license fee, but customers are still Charged for Receiving. Huh??
