If anyone wants to support the Families of the Fallen against the proposed Muslim march at Wootton Bassett this is the Facebook link. http://tinyurl.com/ya3qo9h  There is also a petition on the government website if you really want to be ignored.

The Wooton Bassett protest may have been cancelled but they turned out to insult the homecoming of about 150 troops from the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment as they marched through Barking, East London.

The vile Muslims Against Crusades protesters waved banners with slogans such as "Hitler's henchmen had the same excuse, "We are just doing our job"," butchers", "baby killers", "murderers" and " What are you dying for? 18K".

Our heroic lads and lasses were barracked by the sickening scum who were hiding behind our far too tolerant protection laws that the fanatics are said to despise so much.
It is all the more despicable when we see our troops death toll in Afghanistan moving inexlorably towards 300, let alone the badly injured of who, many will be maimed forever.

Yes, the sky falls in every time we have any casualty or fatality and when we turn out to honour our people we should not have to endure the insults from those who are only able to protest like this in countries like ours.

It is well past the time when we adopted a zero tolerance on the actions of this filth.
An open door policy would be good, out of our land forever.

Have to agree with Hammer  it sickens me to when a young soldier is killed or maimed , some are the same age and younger than my son , it must be heart breaking for the mothers and fathers of these lads ,

War is the result of the love of power and greed, the need to control and bully, it is the innocent that suffer, those that start these wars very rarely suffer.

Our boys and girls go where they are sent, no one mentions what good is being done out there, the schools, hospitals, roads that are being built, the villages returning to a fragile normality thanks to the dear old Tommy our boys  and girls.

Going through Wootton Bassett on their last journey is our way of saying thank you, not for dying but for being there doing what they could to protect and care for the people, remember we have the freedon to do and say what we want over there until we arrived they didn't.

as for the protests against our boys when they marched through our towns, unpalletable though they may be, they have the freedon to stand and do that, in their own country they don't.

and for those who think I am a liberal minded, peacemonger, let me tell I AM THE MOTHER OF A SERVING SOLDIER WHO HAS BEEN IN ALL THE "NASTY" PLACES AND MORE THAN ONCE HE HAS SERVED QUEEN AND COUNTRY FOR OVER 25 YEARS AND NOW HAS THE RANK, so I do know what I am talking about.

As did so many of our people, when the remains of our army came back from Dunkirk, in 1940. Without which, our lives would without any doubt, Not be here today, neither would we have troops 'peace keeping' in 28 countries. So many of our soldiers in the Last War, when they died or were made prisoner, were only 18 years of age. Too young to Die - Yes, but that is War.

Herbentina, It would appear that we do think alike. But life is no different. War is War, age knows no difference. During the last war, many of our troops was only 18 years young, as so many had previously been killed or taken prisoner. In the german army, some were only children of maybe 12/14, the cream of their army, Gone. This also happened in the first world war, on our side. The only difference as I see it, is that this country of our's is Not at war. Our troops are only serving as a 'peace keeping force' and should be brought back home. I should add that, my father and a brother, just four years older than myself, Died in the last war and fighting for Our own country. Thankfully, I was under 15 when our war ended.  Peace !!

I was very tired when I wrote that last post, had a bad day, but why do we have war, as I have said greed for power.

there is no excuse for war, and we are not peace keepers, we went over there because of 9/11 and stayed on, and you and I can talk and discuss but it won't change a thing, and we know the penalties of war you more than me, my Dad came out alive and what makes matters worse if we left that area of war what about the people we left behind what would happen to many of them.
