Val, That is a very good suggestion, for your sarah to take the Dogs for a walk, then you can relax for a while.
Don't you go getting 'grumpy' with yourself (as I do) just because we cannot do those things, we 'was' so used to doing and so easily too. I am feeling it is now, a daily event. ---Shucks Huh  etc:

I'm going to try some brewers yeast tablets, I've found this inhaler is doing strange things to my hair, it seems to be a lot thinner, we're off to Herne Bay this morning. Sarah arrived okay with boyfriend, he's such a nice lad. They dropped a couple of lads off on the way down. I was really pleased to see her arrive safe, apparently the roads further up the line are pretty bad.

Brewers yeast tablets Huh  That rings a bell from way back, but can't remember what they are for ?? -- Not sure if you are on the same inhaler as Eve (5 breaths am. and 5 at night). Eve has said hers is not helping now and in phoning her respitory nurse, was told to keep taking it. Huh?
Hope your outing to Herne Bay was enjoyable, all that Good clean fresh air. (deep breaths). Hope you feel better for it. The Snow ?? here it has been Bad. tried to sweep snow off the car this morning, a Big 4 inches on top. It was dam cold and there was ice underneath, so I had to giveup. That did Not help. I felt shattered, so did not get out to feed the birds etc: till much later. Thats my moans over Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I have to take 2 puffs of one in the morning and one of the other, just the one at night. I'm back at the hospital in Jan, so I expect it will get reviewed again. Its always windy in Herne Bay and by crikey I'm sure it had icicles on it. I bought a bit of beef, we had a roast dinner today so tomorrow its grot shop and no cooking. We'll probably have something from the chippy.I got the brewers yeast tabs, they are good for the skin and hair and B vitamins I think. No snow here just cold. I got some fat balls for the birds 35 for ?4.50 in the pet shop, I've already got a bag of seed so they are stocked up for Christmas. We had a robin hopping around by the patio door earlier. It looked all fluffed up, feeling the cold I expect.I wouldn't bother with the car, just stay inside in the warm until this cold spell passes otherwise you'll end up doing yourself a mischief and no good for man or beast, its too dodgy to try to keep outside clear.

Hi Val, Keep puffing away, as long as it helps. The two that I am on just don't seem to make any difference, we both 'coax' each other to keep on a going. Puff!  Puff!
Strange that the cold air, from your walk at Herne bay, did not kill off your cold. Guess it must have mutated, from the old simple cold, that we used to get. Don't think I will bother with Brewers Yeast (?) - I think I am beyond repair. Just looked at our bird/squirrel food stock. 6 packets of fat balls, 4 bags of nuts, 3 bags of seed and 2 large brown loaves of bread. The wildlife are now alright, till after christmas. Been a 'wildlife park' in the rear garden today. lovelly relief from tv.  --  You are right about staying inside, I dare not go shopping, in case I fall. Eve's decision and she is right, I would be a liability, so her daughter in law, is going with her. Not in our car, as it's still well covered with snow and ice.

I think the cold itself has gone its the after effects that linger forever. You did the right thing staying home thankfully we have our computers to keep in touch with the outside world. I bought another book when grot shopping yesterday. Maeve Binchy so I think thats about 5 books I've got now for over the Christmas, trouble is I can't leave the computer alone. Grin  Its great watching the birds, I noticed yesterday their seed container was empty as I went out with the seed one of the collared doves screeched at me and landed on the table. I felt like saying well you are supposed to be wild. I love watching the blackbirds eat the berries from the shrubs the birds seem to get very brave this time of year.

Sure 'Lingers Longer' dam thing. Actually cleared the car this afternoon, so said to Eve I must collect my repeat prescription, only 3 B.Ps. left. -- so off we went and did some shopping as well(next day may be worse). Jeez!! what a hard job is was with my wheelers and Eve pushing the shopping trolley. Was shattered and real glad to get home ---Then the unloading starts HuhHuh?
Hurray for the computer and to be able to see the birds and squirrels. Peace on earth to all.

Our local chemist delivers repeat prescriptions, so all you need do is a phone call, they collect them from the doctors as well. You don't have to go out. They don't charge either.I always pick mine up from the chemist, its only round the corner, Do they have that service in your area Phoenix?

Hi Val, Not sure about that service. Never needed any help before. With this present weather, we have only been shopping once a week and that was 'slippery' so we are just waiting for the best day. HuhHuh

Phoenix if you phone the doctors and tell them you cant get in for your prescription they will forward it to the chemist, and they will deliver it to you.
Dont go out in that its not worth it.

Must find out about that. Got to go shopping or else we would not get out at all, apart from Doctors and hospitals. Am still trying to get an appointment for dentist, but would dread, having a coughing spell while in their chair.
Have mentioned to Eve again, about shopping by supermarket internet. The trolley is too heavy for her to push and I can't help, because of my wheeler. I will find out how it works tomorrow when shopping, if Eve agrees?Huh

I know what you mean about not getting out though but you cant really go out in this weather can you,but you have to eat !

You can find out and do it online just go to the site of the shop you normally use, if its Tescos just type it in. There is a charge but even if you only use it whilst the weather is bad its well worth it or have your main shop delivered, heavy stuff like potatoes and milk etc, then just potter round to get yourselves out and about for small bits when the weather clears up.I would do it if I needed to even though I do moan about them getting in the way. Loads of folk do it here, I guess if you're working and have kids it saves on time as well.

Still to get a dentists appointment, when to fit it in ?? two weeks of this month Gone -- Wowee??  and hanging on to our 'wacky' sense of humour. Hurray for that. Lol!   Lol!!
Keep up the spirits.    and a Hot Toddy Too!!

Hope the hosp will sort Eves medication out, I know that out of breath feeling, its awful and painful. Thankfully I still get out and manage some exercise but when walking the dogs if I go up a slope I have to pretend I'm admiring the view to get some air in my lungs, puffing Billy, Frank calls me, I sound like a steam train. Grin The dentist will wait Phoenix your teeth aren't going anywhere, unless of course you take them out and leave them laying around.  Grin Cheesy
