Looks like google is working with newspapers to charge for online reading. I think they are limiting the amount of information you can view, 4 or 5 pages then asking for payment. Would you pay to read the news online?

I thought it might be too good to last.
I take a daily paper but I read a lot of stuff online, at least up till now that is.
It really is the only way to see a news item for all angles.
I don't think I would pay to read online but we will have to see.

The independant news used to be the BBC's forte but like most broadcasters there is more than a little political bias with them these days.

Even their early morning breakfast show has become nothing more than free publicity for all sorts of dross.
This morning we had the edifying sight of the odious Sir Ian Blair hawking his book to the nation as if he did not get enough airtime on the Today radio programme.
I suppose it is a question of balance though, we did have Rolph Harris plugging his new musical assault record release so it is not all bad . Cool

It's a bit like hard work reading a newspaper online. I would never pay to do so. If I get tired of the BBC's left wing tabloid approach I go to CNN. For anyone who really likes tabloid television there is Fox News.

I agree Peter, I read snippets from a lot of papers online but don't settle back to have a read like you do normally.

Daily News Huh Everything is just so Bad, that I don't enjoy reading a newspaper any more and only buy the mail for Eve to do the Crossword. Oh! for some really Good News and some Christmas Carols.

I think I'd had enough sleep, I nodded off at 8.30 last night and I woke up and couldn't get back off again this morning. I was dying for a cuppa so just stayed up. I'm fine thanks Phoenix, we went to Canterbury today got some more dog toys and a calender for next year. Frank had to go to the bank so I went along for the ride.Thankfully I don't trail round the shops trying to buy Christmas presents anymore that nightmare is past thanks to the internet.

Val, So Glad that You are alright. Have had our share of that. It's the best way (I think) of getting UP? having a Good Cuppa etc: and just sometimes?? drift off to sleep again. -- Although, If?? absolutely Wide Awake -- There is always some - Er?? - housework/ironing, that one can do. HuhHuhHuhHuh?   We are Dreaming of a Quiet Christmas. Hopefully.   Lol!   Lol!!

Haven't done much housework today, I took a pie I'd cooked and frozen from the freezer, some new pots and carrotts and dinner was done in a jiffy but I'm afraid the ironing is piling up again, I'm keeping the washing under, last thing I need this time of year is loads of washing about.

I can't think when I last did some ironing. Seem to get away without, unless it's a special shirt.
Washing ?? Eve just loves to 'plonk' mine on the bed, when it's dry -- where does it all come from. - Any Idea's Huh?

Hey! Val, Am happy that your Sarah, will be with you this weekend. -- But did you not show her, how to do some 'washing'??  Sarah could at least give you hand to make it easier for you. Can't have you doing nothing?  So you could make the drinks Huh?? --- "Nice and Easy, does it all the time" (song). Take care.

Oh she always offers to do it but I'd rather she took the dogs for me or do something else, like hoovering the stairs. Washing isn't tiring, open the door and shove it in, someone always takes it upstairs for me, I do the ironing in the spare room but I don't do Sarahs ironing she takes it back with her and does it there.Thank goodness too I'd never get her uniform right. I do get lots of help but I also find I'm getting very grumpy at times, mostly with myself. The wind outside is bitter cold and there wasn't many people on the beach  Grin I came back and fell asleep with one of the dogs tucked in, the other was on Franks lap, they don't like the cold either.
