I have some 70 members in my Veterans Association, the average age is 65, there by giving me resourses of some 4550 years of life experiences.

To actually get any of them to do anything takes a stick of dymamite, but they all want to be a part of everything that we organise. Its hard work getting them motivated. Cool

Trouble is nothing is cheap unless you cook it yourself, you need to let students cook you a cheap meal as practise for their catering, but unless you have a catering college near its a bit difficult. They do it for hair in hair dressers don't they?

Takes an 'awfull' lot to get people motovated. Always love to rely on the few, as I found that, many years ago. Shame.

I've got a friend in Newcastle she is brilliant in getting folk to rally round, she is very confident and just goes for it. Our homes are too comfortable these days for folk to want to move much. In fact I must admit I've always struggled with events, they are always in the evening and my best time is morning so by tea time I'm finished.Even an afternoon nap leaves me ready for tele watching.

Transport is also a problem for many,we go to a catering college at christmas for our ladies group christmas meal,we have gone there for years, the ones with cars pick up the ones without.Thankfully we are all local.
