Why is this government so against it's own normal people ??
Is it perhaps, because there are too many gay people in high circles. After all is being gay, Normal Huh?

Hi William, Agree with you on that. Just goes to show that anything goes these days. Remember when those gays wanted to adopt a child ?? yuk!! No thoughts about the child, only themselves. Disgusting.

it is quite consistent with general Government policy and not surprising. We should hold a competition for the next minority to be protected from abuse and discrimination. No chance that it will be those over retirement age, never claimed benefits, worked 40 years continuously, no police record, and never took drugs or smoked.   Wink

One would like to believe, that any priority to help and support, would be those that suffer from ill health, through No fault of their own?? not for the priority to be for those that we would consider beyond our normal standards or that are flagrantly abusing our system. Having Worked for a period of 51 years untill retirement age, plus another 6 years of partime working, I have never been interested in breaking the law, What is the point ?? Drugs??? What is the point ?? Now Smoking, yes I do smoke and have done so for almost 20 years!! Any comments would be a complete waste of time, as I intend to continue. If anybody wants to complain of people smoking or 'passive smoking' as those jumping on the bandwagon call it. Tough!! Why Not place your complaints against Booze Drinking ?? It's all talk and nothing gets done, which must please this younger generation immencely??  I rest my case:

got to agree with you phoenix , im a x smoker, and it use to really  make me cross hearing everyone going on about the smokers all the time, when there was just as much if not more cases in Hospital through drinking ..

I feel sorry for the smoker , i stopped when the price went up and up , couldn't afford to buy them anymore ..

I quite agree Norman, they do all this to make it look as thought they are actually doing something.

I found it a bit odd that most of the posters on Chris`s question are men !
for myself I dont have a problem with gays or lesbians.
I have seen many a child grow up knowing it would be gay/lesbian.
There is no `cure` it is an imbalance, some children are actually born with no sex at all, they are then tested for hormones to see what they would have been, years ago there was no such test and they took pot luck and yes sometimes they got it wrong too.
I for one feel very blessed to be `normal` and find it sad they arent,I have never actually asked one of them if they had the choice what would they be,what is the point they wouldnt know would they. All the ones I have worked with are not `dirty` just human trying to get on with the life that was dished out to them.

You're quite right cath, and I also feel lucky I am heterosexual. My niece is gay, I had no idea as she grew up. She had an affair with a man but it did not work out, and she now lives with a much older woman.
