I now have half a dozen children's writers who say they will read my book and endorse it if they like it. Problem is they might not like it. Scary!

Thanks Phoenix, I'm working on the positive mental attitude!  I did get a very good response from one chap today - so that's encouraging.

Hi Phoenix. The positive mental attitude must have worked. I have two nice endorsements. I hope for a few more.  'The Horse Painters' is now on Amazon  http://tinyurl.com/horsepainters

Hi Phoenix, I'm reading 'The English Patient'. Very good. My book 'The Horse Painters' has just won an award, so I hope that makes people read it!

The independence that these books bring to many is fantastic, as at one time anyone who could not see properly had to wait for someone to come along to read their chosen books to them!..
Wishing you all the best Peter, and so pleased you have a publisher for 'The Horse painters!'...

Thanks Marcella. Actually 'The Horse Painters' is out in paperback. I was looking at electronic books and then I found a more traditional publisher.

Now it can be revealed, as they say, that  'The Horse Painters' won the American 2009 Primier Book Award for Children's Fiction. http://www.premierbookawards.com/

I knew a few weeks ago, but have kept quiet until it was announced. I am still in shock!

To return to the subject of ebooks, the concept has now taken off in a big way with the new 'Kindle' launched by Amazon.

I now have an Apple iPad and it has access to all the Kindle catalogue.

I've found too that it has access to talking books of the classics.
