I AGREE TO A CERTAIN EXTENT THAT AGE IS A NUMBER,THE IMPORTANT THING IS,THE QUALITY OF LIFE YOU ARE ABLE TO LEAD WHEN YOU GET OLD.

Well well well, we learn today that Dyslexia is not a mental thing, its down to bad Schooling. Once again the education system takes the blame!!!

My own views on this are very simple, parents are not spending enough time with their children from birth to 5 years of age. Dont get me wrong some Children have one parent at home all the time, but is that parent really part of the childs life? I see young Mums out with Children pushing them round town going from shop to shop, child screaming that it wants to walk, Mother shouting that she is in a rush and screaming at the child to shut up.

When they get home the Mother sits said chld in a highchair with a bowl of gruel in front of a TV set with a cartoon on. Mother in the meantime is in the kitchen..........no not cooking cause she has bought microwave meals for them to eat.............she in there with her mates rolling spliffs and ignoring her screaming child. This is the time when Mother should be reading and drawing with that said child. Making things together, having fun in the park. Stop blaming the Education Authorities and point the finger at the parent.

Is it such a strange fact, that I always believed it was the parents responcibility, for the upbringing of their children. Must have read it in a newspaper -- somewhere ??
If one does not want to get re-educated ??  don't read a newspaper. Lol!!  Lol!!

Ahhhhh nail head and hammer all in one Pheonix, I read at least three newspapers every day, and when Myles gets home from School he will sit down and go through them and pick out bits and pieces of interest to him and we will have a little chat about these things. Habits are picked up easily, good and bad, all I hope is that he has picked up more good than bad. Wink
