Yes thats so true Phoenix. I think Churchill had bad days he called his black dog days was it?  I try to keep my head down on days that I feel low, doesn't always work but I just know I will misunderstand someone or something, I seem to get very touchy on those days, that is when my books take over, I just curl up with them.

I had one of those for years and it was bent and shaped to my hand and the way I held it. I've never felt comfortable with one since that bit the dust.

talking about knives...they had a `cooks` knife in
`Lakelands` at `Bluewater`... for ?14-99.

they say it stays sharp for 15,000 cuts...in other
words...very sharp !

Isnt it funny how most have a favorite knife? Well my favorite object is no different, I have owned a carving knife since 1984, and it is as sharpe today as it was the first time I used it.I havent used it since 1988 when my ex partner decided it would look nice stuck in my stomach. I dropped it on the floor when extracting it and the tip broke off. but other than that no damage. She never did realise why she became my EX!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Blimey Chris, that sounds a bit fierce. Its true about the knives, we've got a favourite veggie knife and if we're both doing dinner together try to grab the knife first to use it.The others are just as sharp but still don't cut the same.

Hi Chris,  lucky escape there ??  Who would have cleaned up The blood ---- afterwards Huh?

Thankfully the blade entered a fleshy part of my stomach and back then I was a very fit person (Lifestyle), and the blade went between the muscles on the six pack (Oh yes I had one), today it is a family pack, lol. The blade only went in about two and a half inches (story of my life) and I was able to get medical assitance over the phone as she was dragged of with her Phyco proffesor from the local nutters hospital. Four stitches later and a days rest I was okay. All these years on though she is still taking the upper and downers to keep her sane, well that is according to our Daughters last report.
