Title: Birdsong. Post by: chrischance on September 17, 2008, 08:23:53 PM I wouldn't be surprised if this book isn't already posted, but I can't see it.
This is a most meaningful read and as you get further into the story each page begs the next. Sebastion Faulks deserves an award for this book... he probably has one. Title: Re: Birdsong. Post by: macushla on September 17, 2008, 11:04:28 PM Hello Christopher
I can`t say I have heard of it,come on give us a bit more info please lol its not a mans book is it ? lo Title: Re: Birdsong. Post by: chrischance on October 12, 2008, 12:56:37 PM Hello Mac,
this book most certainly is a man's book, but equally compelling to women. It is about a young man's experiences in France at the outbreak of WW1. The story will excite all people with a pulse and Seb Faulks' prose will impress his readers. Chris. Title: Re: Birdsong. Title: Re: Birdsong. Post by: PeterS on May 27, 2009, 07:43:08 PM Sebastian Faulks was made Author of the Year at the British Book Awards for 'Birdsong'. I don't think it made the Man Booker.
Alice Munro has just won the Man Booker. Great choice, great writer.
