Title: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: smiler on July 25, 2008, 04:02:35 PM as i put on my shoes on the other day...i thought i wonder if i can tie a bow ......with one hand ? after 10 minutes..i managed it with my left hand. then i used my right hand... to tie a bow in my left shoe lace....i thought... it would be almost impossible.... just a bit of................. fun all this came about when i was in Plymouth years ago...when a young lad had his arm in.... a sling he recieved a letter that required his signature. because he could not sign it.....that started me thinking,so i started writing with my other hand. Wiv me right hand ?? -- reminds me of last year, a weekend at 'Warner's' when I 'scattered' my Dinner off the plate, as i could not control my left hand -- Eve had to cut the meat and took 'full advantage' of the Fun ??
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: smiler on July 28, 2008, 11:11:09 PM hello Mac...adding to your being ambidextrous..i thought
what about competions..where people use their other hand or foot..like in football...the left back goes to being the right back...and so on....would be so funny ? i thought of trying to mount a bike...(leave the room Pheonix).....from the left side.....instead of the right i reckon i would fall off. about your teachers forcing you... to write with your right hand.no teacher at my schools...forced me to write with my right hand...and i am older than you...i quess ! Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: Phoenix on July 28, 2008, 11:46:56 PM Smiler, I did leave the Room?? but snicked back in??
Do you really 'mount' a Bike, from the right side ?? i dare not try a bike again, but if i tried from the 'right' I am sure I would land up in a Horizontal position very quickly ?? LOL!! Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: ansu on July 29, 2008, 10:33:55 AM Some years ago I used to make a lot of biking tours, but last year when I tried it again, I discovered that afterwards my knee hurt like devil and I felt rather unsure on the bike. So when I arrived back at home I took my bike and put it in the darkest corner of the cellar. It was such a frustrating experience that I don't want to repeat it again.
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: mac on July 29, 2008, 04:12:35 PM Well you see Smiler they were nuns and they believed that life would be easier for me if I could use the gadgets made for right handed people............they were right I can but am muddled with right from left lol ::)
Phoenix keep smiling its the best medicine.! ;D Teri if you hadnt cycled for some time the knee was bound to hurt lol you should have just popped to the shop on it :D Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: ansu on July 29, 2008, 05:42:49 PM Mac, thank you very much for your advice, but I think I won't make a second test - it's rather hilly where I live.

Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: smiler on August 01, 2008, 09:11:38 AM have you noticed in the past....and now....how many of Coronation Street are....left handed. Mike Baldwin..Ken Barlow...Maria...etc!..all the names escape me now ! When we used to dine there were...8 of us at the table was like a mirror image as....4 of us were left handed and 4 right handed....both parents...each left & right handed....& the same for the children. Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: mac on August 01, 2008, 01:53:46 PM I never noticed the coronation street cast smiler, but then I dont watch it I know Prince William is a left hander lol
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: ansu on August 01, 2008, 03:18:28 PM Is there anything wrong with left-handers? One of my daughters is also a left-hander and many of my pupils are, but there's no great difference between them and the right-handers. In Germany we say they are more creative than right-handers, but right-handers are better in mathematics etc.
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: mac on August 01, 2008, 08:04:04 PM Lol Teri so thats why I can add up !!!!!
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: ansu on August 01, 2008, 10:20:09 PM Lucky you! I think I was originally a left-hander, but when I was a child, everybody had to use his "nice hand", i.e. my handwriting was so bad I always had to write an additional page for practice.
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: mac on August 10, 2008, 11:42:57 PM It did me a favour Teri when I was nursing, but it left me confused, because i still paint with my left hand and clean with it too lol
Title: Re: ` tieing shoe laces ` Post by: ansu on August 11, 2008, 09:01:46 AM .. and what's wrong with it? I have a lot of pupils writing with their left-hand. The only problem is they cover with their arm what they have written.
