Title: SENIOR MOMENTS Post by: william on June 22, 2008, 07:04:47 PM We all have our senior moments, so why not a subject ONLY for them, no POLITICS. Heres whay happened to me today.
decided to have a coffee, put the kettle on, put sugar in cup followed by the coffee, when the kettle boiled poured the water into the cup,it looked weak, so gave it a stir it still lookeed like water, i realised then that I put the coffee in the sugar basin. Shall we try and keep this for senior moments and try not to diversify. I am sure you have all got some to tell. sometime ago my tongue decided as usual to do it's own thing in other words speak before the brain had completely woken up, I turned to my friend and said I was having a SENIOR MOMENT, "Oh no" he said "You're just having an INTELLECTUAL INTERLUDE" Title: Re: SENIOR MOMENTS Post by: Teri on November 19, 2008, 12:53:56 PM What a nice expression, Geraldine.
By the way - from time to time you must excuse my English - as I'm German and we, here, in Germany learn UK English as well as American English I either use the wrong word or intermix the two. However, I'm very happy, if you correct me. Title: Re: SENIOR MOMENTS Post by: griselda buttercup on November 19, 2008, 02:53:16 PM :)Teri I have a lovely friend actually she is married to my sons best friend she is also German and she learnt english by watching a television series called the YOUNG ONES, and she wondered why she got funny looks when she used certain words, her english is brilliant now but we still laugh about it.
