Title: Funny thing but..... Post by: Country Boy on March 23, 2008, 06:49:02 PM Last year I read something from the government stating that all new houses built would have to have at least one parking space to get cars off the roadway overnight - today I noticed on TV that there is new legislation being prepared which will put an extra tax burden on any householder who has off road parking - -funny eh? Wonder when they got this idea. Election time will soon come round. This lot have had it from me now but also I haven't forgotten that it was a conservative government that stopped the pensions being index linked (thanks Maggie) trouble now is who the heck can I vote for? - not much left is there. ::).

Post by: Phoenix on March 24, 2008, 09:31:05 PM Homes with car parking space ?? No way!! Just have not got the space to spare!! With 50,000 more homes to be built!! -- Our 'estate' was built just over 20 years ago, plenty cars around then ?? But NO!! Greed came into it and later, it was admitted that Too Many Homes was Built, per Acre???????? There is just NO 'foresight'?? Take The M25. "The Biggest Car park in The World" -----------

Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: Phoenix on March 29, 2008, 08:01:45 PM A Good Idea?? But The COST, must be something Terrible??
Would certainly help to keep one's Car ---- Safe!! Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: ansu on March 30, 2008, 10:35:55 AM If it's a house with 12 or 20 flats or if it's question of some terraced houses, the costs are rather moderate.
Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: Phoenix on March 30, 2008, 11:23:03 PM That sounds quite good!! Shame it was not planned here, as some roads are almost blocked, for Essential Services:
Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: mac on September 01, 2008, 08:39:06 PM Can anyone tell me

Post by: Val on September 03, 2008, 08:18:48 AM I wonder how the tax would affect us , the council don't want to know about our road and car parking couldn't be done on the street there's no room, we could always turn it into gardens.
Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: mac on September 03, 2008, 07:46:59 PM Since I posted the above message I have found out that we might be getting a £60 rebate (some of us anyway)its all to do with the 10p tax they stole from us pensioners in april.
It only affects the people between the ages of 55 to 65 if they are retired, they are the ones that lost the 10p. We are then told we wont pay anymore than £10 a month more then before !,dont hold your breath they have a habit of changing their minds ! Title: Re: Funny thing but..... Post by: Phoenix on September 09, 2008, 03:26:54 PM What ?? Changing their minds Again??? Normal with such great frequency ????????? Their Only human ?????????
