Title: Bus driver's son Sajid Javid set to be Tories' first Muslim MP Post by: Rie on February 07, 2010, 04:14:51 PM A 40-year-old bus driver's son is poised to become the Tories' first Muslim MP after being selected for a safe Conservative seat yesterday.
Sajid Javid was chosen to succeed Bromsgrove Tory MP Julie Kirkbride - who has a 10,000 majority - after she was forced to announce she would not fight the seat at the next General Election following a scandal over her expenses. English-born Mr Javid, who went to a state school and studied economics and politics at Exeter University, had a successful career as a banker. He became the youngest vice president in the history of Chase Manhattan Bank at the age of 24 before being headhunted by Deutsche Bank. He has since left banking but describes himself as a 'businessman and private investor'. My blood runs cold reading this, and so it starts.... Indeed we might soon be the minority but lets be honest with ourselves here, the MP he is trying to replace is a white christian who has resigned because she and her husband also a white christian have been caught bang to rights with their sticky greedy little fingers in the expenses trough. Is it any wonder that the muslim march is on when the door has been wedged open by our present band of thieves and war mongers? A root and branch clear out is needed and now and close the ports of entry now we are full. Title: Re: Bus driver's son Sajid Javid set to be Tories' first Muslim MP Post by: Rie on February 08, 2010, 05:04:51 PM I agree entirely George. but what can we do, I've decided I'm voting UKIP in the next election, now I've found out who the candidate for this area is, This is a true blue Tory constituency so I'm not hoping to stop them in local elections but every vote for another party is one less for the main ones. I wasn't going to vote at all but it didn't seem right. I don't understand why they haven't taken heed of the rumblings from the people. Everywhere I look on the internet there is another criticism, the only good thing that has come out of it is that its made people more aware than ever about politics but is that a good thing really if it causes bad feeling. I feel as if we will swing too far the other way and that isn't good, we need a strong leader with a huge helping of common sense.
